1. Corrosion resistance. Polyethylene is an inert material. Except for a few strong oxidants, it can withstand the erosion of a variety of chemical media, without electrochemical corrosion, and does not require an anti-corrosion layer.
 
2. No leakage. PE gas pipeline mainly adopts welding connection (hot-melt connection or electro-fusion connection). Compared with rubber ring type joints or other mechanical joints, there is no danger of leakage due to joint distortion.
 
3. High toughness, PE gas pipe is a kind of high toughness pipe, its elongation at break generally exceeds 500%, and its adaptability to uneven settlement of pipe foundation is very strong. It is also a pipeline with excellent seismic performance.
 
4. Excellent flexibility. The flexibility of polyethylene enables PE gas pipes to be coiled. For non-grooving construction, the direction of the PE gas pipeline is easy to change according to the requirements of the construction method.
 
5. Good scratch resistance. It can effectively resist the stress concentration of the material caused by scratches and greatly reduce the possibility of pipeline damage.
 
6. Advanced structure of electrofusion pipe fittings. The non-exposed spiral heating wire guarantees uniform heat conduction in the welding zone, and effectively prevents short-circuiting when the pipe is inserted, and at the same time avoids the defect that the exposed heating wire is prone to aging and corrosion, and the inner wall of the pipe is smooth and flat, which is easy to install .
 
7. Good resistance to rapid crack transmission. The rapid cracking of the pipeline means that when the pipeline cracks accidentally, the crack grows at a speed of several hundred meters per second, which instantly causes a major accident that destroys the pipeline of tens of meters or even thousands of meters. In actual use, no rapid cracking of the polyethylene gas pipe has been found.
 
8. The hot melt (or electric melt) connection is convenient and reliable, and the construction and maintenance are simple (the air can be kept in the meantime).
 
9. Long service life, up to more than 50 years.
 
10. High strength, excellent environmental stress crack resistance and good creep resistance.
 
11. The inner wall is smooth, the flow capacity is large, and the gas flow rate can reach 20m/s, which saves construction costs.
 
12. It has good weather resistance (including UV resistance) and long-term thermal stability.
 
13. Good wear resistance and wear resistance.
 
14. Good low-temperature impact resistance, can be used safely in the temperature range of -20~40℃, and construction in winter will not be affected.
 
15. It is fully suitable for traditional excavation construction methods and new non-excavation technologies such as pipe jacking, directional drilling, liner pipe, pipe splitting, and submersion.
